The wonders of Andalo and the surrounding areas

During your stay in one of our holiday apartments for rent at Residence Antares, you’ll have the possibility to discover and admire the fantastic mountains and natural wonders of Trentino!

Here are some of our recommendations:

Andalo

The town of Andalo (that sits at 1,040 metres) is a typical mountain town that is an ideal starting place for excursions, which are adapted to everyone and you can choose to participate on foot or mountain bike. There are numerous paths and routes that offer adventure, whether you’re looking for an intense athletic experience or a very relaxing venture. The town’s flagship is Andalo Life Park, a park and sports centre that expands over 100,000 m2 and is the cornerstone of all the recreational activities and amusements for both old and young.

Paganella Peak (at 2,125 m)

This mountain is right in our backyard. During the winter season, more than 50 km of slopes comprise the renowned Paganella Ski Area, which was chosen by the U.S. Ski team’s alpine division for their training sessions. Champions like Bode Miller, Ted Ligety, and even the Ski Team Sweden Alpine with Olympic champions Aksel Lund Svindal and Kjetil Jansrud have trained here. In the summer, Paganella Peak offers innumerable paths immersed in the splendid forests of firs and spruce trees that are ideal for walks and mountain bike excursions.

The Dolomites in Brenta

Here we’re in the heart of Adamello Brenta Nature Reserve, in front of a one-of-a-kind natural stage with high peaks and pinnacles. It’s the perfect workout if you like high altitude trekking, climbing impressive walls or simply taking a nice relaxing walk.

The most famous summits are Croz dell’Altissimo (2,339 m), Campanil Basso (2,883 m) and Tosa Peak (3,173 m). The different vie ferrate, especially Bocchette Centrali, are very exciting and challenging.

Molveno Lake

The alpine lake of Molvenois only 5 km from Andalo and is nestled on a natural ledge surrounded by the Brenta Group mountain range (Campanile Basso, Croz dell' Altissimo and Tosa Peak) and by Paganella Peak.

Molveno Lake is one of the most unique lakes in Trentino. In 2010, Legambiente, one of the most important environmental organisations in Italy, awarded Molveno Lake with 5 blue sails thanks to its environmental value and the care with which it is taken care of.

Garda Lake in Trentino

From Paganella Peak, it seems like you could simply reach out and touch the lake: if you’d like a unique and breathtaking experience, you can reach Garda Lake by making the descent on mountain bike and descending 2,000 m in very few kilometres.

The route is enchanting even by car: from Andalo, there is a panoramic route that, in just a little over half an hour, will take you from a completely alpine/dolomite environment to the land of olive tree cultivation where there is almost an atmosphere of being at the seaside.

Thun Castle

Thun Castle, perhaps the most important castle in Trentino, is situated 20 minutes away by car. Located at the beginning of the Non Valley, it not only allows you to enjoy its immense charm but also permits you to admire the natural environment in which it is found: indeed, we are now in Trentino’s apple territory.

MUSE

MUSE, the Science Museum, was designed by the great architect Renzo Piano and was opened in Trento in July 2013. This museum is a must-see and is easily accessible by car in about 30 minutes.
